This former teacher training college was clearly the victim of a shady deal. One university bought it for cheap using a loophole, essentially ran it into the ground for a few years, and then vacated it in order to sell it for premium dollar.

Although hideously ugly from the outside, with ghastly sterile concrete towers and overbridge spans, the gardens are quite lovely, and the insides appear warmer and less imposing.

I sorely wanted to access the dumb bell waiter that serviced the canteen, or gain access to the top of one of the main office towers, but sadly cound not. However, this didn’t stop me enjoying what I did find when wandering the endless mazes of the former training institution.

It seems an awful waste. The canteen area especially looks like it was open just yesterday. The classrooms appear slightly dated but by all means still usable. Odd artwork litters the hallways and classrooms.

Hopefully the university can find use for this campus that does right by the local community who used to make the most of this place.
